Alton Hill is a Co-founder at TradingSim. He has a passion to help people and found that one of his ways of doing so, is through the world of Day Trading. Alton’s skillset is in Product Development and Design Thinking which he uses to write and improve the overall experience for TradingSim. He completed the Design Thinking Bootcamp at The Stanford D School, developing a high understanding of user-first experiences through product engagement. As a Product Developer, he focuses on the user experience to promote the best solutions and activities as a trader.
Alton also trades for fun and income. His trading strategy focuses on tread following systems, looking at stocks with high volatility and strong primary trend. He then uses several indicators to gauge the health of the pull-back, looking for low-risk entries with clear profit targets and using the 15-minute chart to reduce noise. He also uses 1 Hour and Full Hour daily to confirm and validate trades.
His mission is to help retail traders be successful; meaning profitable where it all comes down to how much each user is willing to commit.
Alton started Day Trading after his father attended a financial seminar held by their church. Only 16 at the time, Alton learned about compounding interest and has continued his path on financial literacy since. During college, he invested in the 90’s Tech Boom and had wild wins but also big losses. With that, he started focusing on improving, realizing that true success is in the repetition of practice.
Although passionate about Day Trading, Family is most important to Alton. He is a Husband and Father who is focused on spending time with his three sons and has coached their baseball teams for the last seven years. He helps organize family reunions and hosts dinners, all to bring family together.
Carrying on with that same tenacity to bring people together, Alton became a part of TradingSim because he wanted to create an environment where traders could join a risk-free, no-pressure environment. You can connect with Alton Hill at TradingSim by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
